It is a combination of the Japanese Haiku and Senryu poems that have my own Midwest slant upon them.  They are composed of three unrhymed lines of five, seven, and five. With the haiku poems being serious in content for they are all about nature the natural world and its subject matter, whilst the Senryu poems are about humans so  they can be cynical, darkly humorous, even satirical, as they do  portray all the varying aspects that can be found in  the human’s character and mind …  But all are meant to inspire the mind, body and soul of the reader.

Many of the poems included were inspired from photo's shown and by challenges set by other poets on poetry sites, but most were written to portray the imagery seen through my own minds eye.
